Match Day marks milestone for students

EVMS medical students joined other aspiring physicians around the country March 20 in learning where they will train for at least the next three years in their chosen specialty. At the strike of 1 p.m., 107 fourth-year EVMS M.D. classmates marked off one more rite of passage when they unsealed envelopes containing the place where they will serve their residency. Students routinely use the occasion to celebrate their years of grueling work to get through medical school, and this year was no different.
